The Wellington crew have been doing a bolt install on Wellington’s tallest building: the Majestic Centre. The bolts are not our standard M16 Abseil anchors but two hundred 40kg M56 bolts!! These are part of the earthquake strengthening work going on in the building.

We have been working with a team from Fletcher Construction who have been core drilling from inside while we bring the bolts down on ropes from the roof (we have the easy job as there are no tenants to work around 90m in the air).

The Wellington wind has been tough to deal with at times and the use of traditional climbing cams has been essential.

The 6th International Conference on Earthquake Geotechnical Engineering (6ICEGE), is being held on 1-4 November 2015 at the Air Force Museum in Wigram, Christchurch.

Our 5 new bridges are nearing completion on the Old Ghost Road. That will make 14 bridges so far on this epic mountain bike extravaganza which is due to open in December this year.

The Old Ghost Road is the most talked about new track in New Zealand. With 5 new huts and over 80km of hand built track crossing West Coast wilderness, alpine landscapes and river gorges this track will rival the Heaphy for grandness.
