Abseil Access have been the preferred team for protective coatings on New Zealands lighthouses since 1995. In that time we have done Brothers Rock, Stephens Island, Cuvier Island, East Cape, Cape Farewell, Cape Foulwind, Nugget Point, Waipapa Point, Centre Island, Jack Point, Castle Point, Cape Reinga, Baring Head, Tiritiri Matangi, Mokohinui Island, Cape Palliser and Kahurangi Point for Maritime New Zealand and Point Hallswell, Steeple Rock, Pencarrow and Somes Island for Wellington Harbours.

Most off these projects were a full strip back to original substrate. As they are on a 10 year maintenance cycle we have since been back to many of them for on-going maintenance and to apply a new top coat.

Cape Palliser got the full strip by us in 2003 and Maritime New Zealand contracted us this year for a new shiny coat. The 4 man team worked away through the usual inclement coastal weather to complete the work last month.
