The Wellington-based geotechnical team recently completed a large project behind a private residential home.

A slope failure resulted in 60m³ of material being released behind the house, and before slope stabilising works could start, a further 30m³ of material was scaled, and removed off site. An actively restrained design was installed with 70 soil nails. Holes drilled with one of our A-frame DTH drill rigs, grouted, and then a Maccaferri double-twist PVC coated mesh overlaying the slope.

Great effort from the boys involved, with swift production, and with minimal hassle to the property owners. Check out the time lapse film of drilling.
