INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Food Processing Plants

Abseil Access Ltd have operated maintenance and inspection programmes at New Zealand food processing plants since 1992. Our clients include Fonterra Cooperative Group, Griffins Foods, Cadbury Confectionary, Weston Milling, Tip Top Bakeries, and Lactose New Zealand.
Our personnel are trained to meet the strict hygiene requirements at these sites, and are familiar with Red Line procedures for food processing plants. In addition, all staff have Industrial Rope Access training and Confined Space training.
Our head office is centrally located in Wellington, but we also employ staff nationwide and can quickly deploy teams to sites throughout New Zealand and overseas.
With all inspection and repair work a full-colour report is supplied for future reference.
We can supply the following services:
- Internal visual inspection of silos, vessels, ducts, driers and cyclones
- Weld inspection and repairs to 4703 or 4711 standards

Inspecting Drier Chambers
Abseil Access uses a portable telescopic spreader boom, specifically designed for inspecting powder drier chambers up to 15m in diameter (23 tons/hr). This unique system ensures that each chamber receives 100% coverage, something that is not achievable using conventional inspection systems. It is also much faster than other methods: two inspectors can systematically complete a visual surface inspection of a 15m diameter chamber in just one day. The boom also enables rapid access if any weld repairs are required.
